| Compatibility (other devices) | The 6 Button Remote cannot be used with cable or satellite boxes. It only works with television sets. The TV brand codes that program the remote to the TV are updated only once or twice a year, meaning the remote might not work with the most recent model TVs. Please note that this remote control is NOT compatible with the digital-to-analog converter boxes. According to the FCC, "If you have one or more televisions that receive free over-the-air television programming (with a roof-top antenna or "rabbit ears" on the TV), the type of TV you own is very important. A digital television (a TV with an internal digital tuner) will allow you to continue to watch free over-the-air programming after February 17, 2009. However, if you have an analog television, you will need a digital-to-analog converter box to continue to watch broadcast television on that set. This converter box will also enable you to see any additional multicast programming that your local stations are offering." For more details please see the FCC's website about the Digital TV Transition. |

"My parents are in their 90s and I was afraid they would be confused with a new complicated remote control for a new digital television which I was planning to buy for them. Worse yet they might press buttons which would mess up the TV settings. I bought this remote hoping that it would work for Olevia TVs which are relatively new. The instruction booklet did indeed have a code for Olevia and the instructions were very clear on how to program the remote. I took the remote to Target and tested it on a display model to make sure it worked before buying the new TV. Dynamic Living provided shipping and tracking information via email and the remote arrived very quickly. The design of the remote is very simple and easy to program. This is a great device." E.F., Medina, MN
"My elderly father kept disabling his TV trying to find the right button on his remote. This was the perfect solution. And the palm size is easy for him to hold or carry in his shirt pocket. He loves it." I.M., Providence, UT
"This remote is a life saver for my Mom! She is legally blind and has arthritis in her hands! She always pushed the wrong buttons on the regular remote with this one she's good to go! The only thing I have to do is cut down the mute button in the middle so she doesn't press it by mistake and it works great! I'm getting another one just in case! Thanks!" P.F., Boardman, OH
"Put the standard remote in a drawer. This is the one you need for simple tasks. A great remote for a kitchen or bedroom. No worries about pushing the wrong button and sending the TV off to another world! Exactly what I have been needing for years." T.A., Metamora, IL
"This has been of great benefit to my mother who is now legally blind." M.S., Morganfield, KY
"It's challenging to set codes with this unit to make it work with your TV given the design and enclosed instruction sheet. After cycling through numerous codes and recognition efforts we were unable to find the correct one for our new Westinghouse LCD TV. The keys are very hard to read as the lettering is simply engraved into the red surface without any contrasting color to improve visibility. This remote is quite small about 4.5 x 1.5" which might make it difficult for some users to locate. It is not a good universal remote for people with poor eyesight particularly if they have Alzheimer's Disease." L.O., Austin, TX
