The average toilet seat is 14" wide (side to side). Big John Toilet Seats are 19" wide and are contoured for comfort. The inner opening is also larger than most withdimensions of 8�"W x 11�" D.

The Big John Toilet Seat is great for the larger framed person since it has an extra-wide seat area, but the stability is the biggest plus. On the under side, the seat has special stabilizing bumpers that grip the porcelain and keep the seat from shifting while someone is seatedon or transferring to the seat.

In addition, the seat provides an extra 2" in height to make sitting and standing easier.
