This Clarity XLC2 Cordless Phone is comfortable to hold, easy to hear, and simple to use.

The handset weighs only 7½ oz (with the battery), making it very lightweight. It has large buttons that are well separated for easier pressing and are backlit for easier seeing.

If you have low to moderate hearing loss, this phone has some great features for you. The volume of the ringer can be set up to 95 dB (very loud!), while the incoming volume on the handset can be boosted up to 50 dB. The handset also offers three settings for tone adjustment: flat tone for hearing aid users, high frequency emphasis and a setting that makes words clearer. The phone base and handset also have visual ringers (blinking lights) to catch your attention.

For people with hard to hear voices, the phone can also boost your outgoing speech volume up to 15dB so that others can hear you more easily. This makes it ideal for people with esophageal voices, people with MS or Parkinson's, and other people who simply prefer to speak softly.

In addition to large print, large button numbers, this phone has features that can help people with visual impairments. The phone has a number talkback function that announces the numbers as you dial them and a Find function to help you locate the handset more easily.

You can put batteries into the base so that the phone can still be used in a power outage, a very unusual cordless feature! All around this is an excellent cordless phone that will make using the phone a breeze!
