"I use mine during my team's paintball competition. We love it because it gives tells us not just when we are out of time but also warns us that time is running out for that last minute (or last second) push up the wire to get the flag and get the hang." E.P., Kokomo, IN
from an email to DL:
"The VoiceZone Talking Timer is supposed to have six alarm sounds and a voice on/off setting controlled by a "Sound" or "Voice on/off" button. No such button exists on the timer, and the instructions do not show a diagram indicating the button location or say how to bring up a sound selection in the display. Did I receive a defective timer? If so, how can I return it for a replacement?" E.L., Richmond, CA
DL Response: You are correct in saying that the instructions do not indicate where to find these buttons. On the bottom portion of the clock, where "Talking Timer" is printed, there is a removable cover that can slide down to expose these buttons. The instructions do indicate the set up of these functions. If you have any other questions, please feel free to write us again.
Customer's Response: "Thanks so much for your crystal clear instructions on how to find the timer buttons. It is help like yours that makes Dynamic Living such a wonderful source for disabled persons. We're quite happy with the timer now." E.L.
"Hooray...I found another Talking Timer! I bought one four years ago. I live alone and that friendly voice nudges me to get places on time. Yesterday she quit talking to me. The national electronics store no longer carries that item but a friend suggested your site. You offer the SAME timer with a different trade name. Thanks!" G.T., Clearwater FL
"A friend was using this to help time repetitive exercises we were doing at the gym today. It really made the whole routine easier to do. The size is great - perfect to carry in my hand when using or toss into the gym bag when done. Now I can add a walk and know when to start back. This is definitely going to be my Hostess Gift and Stocking Stuffer this year!" C.S., Alexandria, VA
"The DL5022 talking timer is used by several of our radio control electric model airplane fliers. It is most important to know flight time in order to keep from over discharging Lithium Polymer battery pack. The DL5022 announces clearly the countdown from a selected number of minutes. Also will allow total flight time recording via Memory Mode. Easy to read display. Very easy to use very reliable. The timer is attached to the radio transmitter with rubber bands making it easy to operate. Perfect for R/C model airplane applications." D.S., Rock Hill, SC
"I have a small one person sailboat and I participate in sailboat races. The talking countdown timer is the perfect thing. They put up a flag when there's 4 minutes till your start. And because sailboats are always moving you just can't park at the starting line. When you approach the start it's chaotic - lots of boats converging in a small place and you have five things to do or watch out for. If you look down at your watch you could crash. But with my talking timer I give all of my attention to steering and trimming my sails for optimal speed while that angelic voice says 5 4 3 2 1 and I have a perfect start every time." J.R., Estacada, OR
