Are you looking for an easier way to open cans?
The Ergo™ Can Opener from Black & Decker® is the cordless solution! It is a well designed tool that provides a great way to open cans. This can opener has a large comfortable, ergonomic handle that is easy to hold and a sharp cutting mechanism that is easier to press into the can lid. You will find it particularly helpful if you are single-handed, have arthritis or carpal tunnel syndrome.
You don't even have to hold it while it opens the can! The cutting mechanism can be lined up with one hand. Press down to start and the Ergo™ Can Opener "walks around" the can and shuts off automatically when the can has been opened.
A fully charged Ergo™ will open dozens of cans. Store the unit in its convenient charging cradle or keep it in the drawer. The cutter is removable and dishwasher safe.
The Ergo™ Can Opener can be used by left or right-handed individuals. (Lefties may have to practice a bit to line up the cutter properly)

"The person with the loose screw should visit her local hardware store and ask for a product called Locktite. A dab on the screw will solve her problem." D.P., Woodland, CA
"This can opener is the second brand I have tried. I am singlehanded--left handed. It can be used with one hand but I agree leftys need to take some time to get the blade lined up. It needs to remain on the charger at all times otherwise it has enough power for about 2 cans and then quits. It will open one can and then the blade slips and needs to be tightened with a screw driver. This problem has disappointed me. " B.Z., Hawesville, KY
DL Note: If BZ had purchased this from us, we would have asked her to return it! We've used one here in our office for some time now, with the charge holding and no need for the screwdriver. We also have had zero returns on the item, which tells us that BZ probably has a defective unit. It can happen.
"I've had my Ergo™ for more than 10 years and I love it. I keep it in the charger so I've never had to think about it not being able to do it's job. I especially like that I can take the opener to the can not the other way around. I just have to clip it on the can and let go and it goes around the can until it's done." L.S., Ruidoso, NM
"I tried this for the health care facility that I work for and it is great for smaller cans but does not track correctly for larger #10 size cans which is the majority of what we use. A hand powered one that would give a safety edge with a crank (like and old hand beater) to alleviate wrist strain I know would be welcome by the health care industry! I may invent my own. :)" J.K., Springfield, OR
