With a 90dB alarm and flashing strobe light, this alarm will let you know when there is a fire!
This Gentex Portable Smoke Detector has a 90dB temporal 3 sounder and a high intensity strobe light that will flash 60 times per minute upon activation of the alarm. The detector will automatically return to stand by mode after the smoke has cleared.
Most photoelectric smoke detectors are designed to be hard-wired into an electric system. This portable Gentex model is specifically designed with 9 ft electrical cords that allow them to be plugged into any room in the house or facility.
ADA Compliance:
The Americans With Disabilities Act Accessibility Guidelines (ADAAG) recommend any room or space required to have a visual signal shall be no more than 50 ft from the mounted signal. This portable solution will help hotels and small facilities follow the ADA guidelines.

"Why does this product have an extension cord? If there was/is a fire wouldn't that knock the power out? So does this have a backup battery or shouldn't it have a battery pack? Just wondering good idea but I wouldn't buy it because of the cord I would rather have the battery pack. Thanks" R.K. Parkersburg, WV
DL Response: In most circumstances this product will detect smoke long before the power is knocked out by a fire. The item does have a battery backup but electricity is required for the extra volume and the strobe lights. Plus you won't have to worry about changing the battery!
