General Info

Lay the Bed Pad across the bed at the hip or shoulder level to detect departureCaregivers have a lot of responsibilities. Even when you are sleeping you need to ensure that your loved ones are safe.

The Fall Guard Bed Alert System with Disposable Alarm Pad alerts you when weight is removed from the pad.

If the patient gets up to wander or falls out of bed, you will know about it quickly.

The Fall Guard Alert Systems consists of 2 parts:

  • A Tamper-Proof Alert Monitor with Caregiver's Key

  • Disposable Pressure Pad

The two parts connect with a telephone-like cord. The Alert Monitor plugs into an electrical outlet with the included AC Adapter or it can be powered with a 9 volt battery (not included).

Unique Features:

  • Caregiver's Key - If you choose this option, the Tamper-Proof Alert Monitor can only be de-activated with a Caregiver's Key. This way patients cannot turn it off or disable it.

  • Voice Prompt - Once a person is laying on the bed pressure pad, if they attempt to get up again, the alert monitor can be set to announce one of the following before the alarm goes off:

    • "Please lie back down"

    • "Please sit back down"

    Often this prompt is enough to persuade the patient to sit or lie down again.

  • Automatic Reset - Prevents caregiver from accidentally leaving the system turned off after silencing the alarm.

  • All the controls are within the Alert Monitor. They are purposefully difficult to get at so that the patient cannot change them easily.

These Fall Alert products are hospital grade technology and they are used in nursing homes, hospitals and home care facilities.   • Chair Pressure Pad only (For ordering replacement pads): DL2243

  • Bed Pressure Pad only (For ordering replacement pads): DL2244

  • Modified Button Two Pendant Paging System: If you need a portable alarm that can alert you from further away, combine this item with a Chair or Bed Alert System. One of the call buttons has a 'tail' which plugs into the alert monitor. When the patient moves off the pad, the modified button sends a signal the caregiver's pager and it chimes loudly.

Special Notes

  • All pads are disposable and are intended for only 90 days of use.

  • The Bed Pressure Pad and the Chair Pressure Pad use the same Alert Monitor. (The only difference between the two is size.) This means that if you want to use more than one type of pad, you can move one monitor between the two locations.
