It has 5 adjustable angle settings to adapt for your comfort along with two rubber page holders to keep the pages steady and the book in place. It also has four ¾" padded non-slip feet that will keep the book holder from slipping without marring your furniture.

DL Note: The greater the angle setting (more reclined) the thinner the area to hold the book. Law or medical books, for example, would be fine at a more upright position, but may not work well at the most reclined angle.
