The Lighted Headband Magnifier offers up to 4.8X magnification without tying up your hands. The magnifying lenses are located in a visor-style brim that easily flips up when you don't need the magnification.

Two main lenses offer a wide area of magnification that makes it easier to read. Slip the visor on your head, even over prescription glasses, to bring tiny details into clear focus. You'll be able see to tighten the screws on your glasses and both hands will be free to fix a broken link in a necklace!

Although it is perfect for hobbyists, people with low vision will also appreciate the ability to read without having to slide or hold a magnifier over the reading material. It's true that the Headband Magnifier looks a little clunky, but it really does the job!

There are a total of 3 lenses on this magnifier:

1. A stationary lens on the front: 1.8X magnification

2. A flip-down lens inside the visor: 2.3X when added to the stationary lens

3. A detail spot lens that swings in front of the right eye:

   • With the stationary lens: 3.7X

   • With both the stationary and flip-down lenses: 4.8X

The plastic frame is lightweight and the adjustable headband makes it comfortable to wear, even for long periods of time. There are lights on each side of the magnifier that shine light directly on your work area, but can be turned off if not needed.

While suitable for precision assembly work, you can use these head mounted magnifying lenses to do almost any kind of close detailed work.
