Inner Lip Plates

Everyone knows how hard it is to pick up peas with a fork. Or try scooping up those last grains of rice without a knife to push against.

This lip plate is designed to prevent spills over the edge while you are eating. By using the raised lip of the plate, you can push food onto your fork or spoon. If ever you find yourself chasing food around the plate, you know how important this simple plate design is.

Comes in sandstone (beige) and red. Why red? Because it increases the contrast between your food and the plate. Research has shown that many Alzheimer's patients lose weight as they lose the ability to distinguish between colors. A brightly colored dish, especially red, is proven to help increase the amount of food consumed by individuals with Alzheimer's and is also helpful for those with low vision.

The lip plates are 9" in diameter. They are dishwasher and microwave safe.

"I purchased DL3351 the light gray plates with the lip. Their concept is great...and they work...but they are on the small side for my 28 year-old eater! In addition if you pile the food too high you are defeating the purpose of the lip. I've had these plates about 4 years.
