The Pilot™ Step-Up Cane has a retractable platform that lets you climb stairs in smaller, half steps!

Do you have trouble negotiating stairs? Is the curb a bit too high for you to step up onto? The Pilot™ Step-Up Quad Cane provides a portable way to make it possible for you to get around more easily.

The base measures 7¾" L x 6½" W and has four skid resistant feet. But the unique feature of this Pilot™ Step-Up Cane is the hidden bonus! By stepping on the red button on the quad base, a hidden platform folds out, extending the width of the base by 3 inches! If you have trouble lifting your leg, this sturdy extension can act like a half-step when going up stairs or curbs that are too high.

The 3¾" H platform cuts down the height of curbs and stairs, and gives you a modest boost for climbing into vehicles like minivans or SUV's. When you don't need the platform anymore, you simply press the blue button and the platform flips back under the base.

The Step-Up Cane is lightweight, weighing less than 3 lbs, so it is easy to carry even if you have limited arm strength.

For people who need a little support when standing, the Step-Up Quad Cane has two ergonomic handles that are height adjustable in one inch increments. The lower handle is 21"-30" high and is designed to help you rise from a seated position. Just lean forward and use this lower handle to provide a surface to push on.

The top handle is 28"-37" H and has a small built-in hook for hanging the cane when it's not in use.

"Heh this is great!! I would be very interested in a version of this with a 2 step - since that is my limit. I am looking for a version of this that is easily ADJUSTABLE. Then one could have TWO "step canes" and be able to work up the stair by volleying back and forth between the two as often as necessary (for really high 9" steps for instance.) I have invented a series of 2", 4", 6" & 8" steps a lot like this for myself that is very fragile so am looking for a more permanent tool.
