Pull String Alert Monitor

Do you need a low cost fall alert or wander alarm to
let you know that your charge has left his chair or bed?

The Pull String Fall Alarm with Magnet Switch is helpful if you are caring for someone that spends the majority of their time in one place, such as a chair, wheelchair or in bed. One piece of the monitor is attached to the patient's clothing and the other to the chair or bed.

The Pull String Fall Alarm consists of:

1. An Alarm Unit that hangs on the chair or bed by an adjustable 8" strap. The strap has a buckle so that is can be moved easily.

2. A 28" Pull String that has a magnet on one end and a metal clip at the other. The magnet end is connected to the Alarm Unit and the clip is attached to the patient's clothing. You can adjust the string length for the patient's comfort and to reduce false alarms.

If the person tries to get out of their bed or chair, the string disengages the magnet - pulling it away from the Alarm Unit. When this happens the alarm will go off, alerting the caregiver to the situation. The alarm will continue to sound until the string is reconnected to the Alarm Unit. Or you can press the Alarm Pause button to temporarily stop the alarm. The alarm is silenced and activated again when the magnet is back in place.

The Pull String Fall Alarm can be moved easily from one place to another, such as from a chair to a bed. The volume is adjustable, but for safety reasons it can only be adjusted by opening the battery compartment.

The Pull String Fall Alarm offers you some peace of mind if you are caring for a person who roams or falls easily. With this low cost system, you will know quickly that your patient has moved away from their chair or bed.
