General Info

This Secure Mount Hardware will properly secure a grab bar even when there is no stud available to attach the grab bar to!

The purpose of a grab bar is to provide something to hold on to for balance and something to grab if you should begin to fall. The most secure installation calls for drilling screws into a stud behind the wall. But sometimes you need a grab bar where no studs are available.

This hardware kit makes it possible to install a grab bar without a stud.

With the Secure Mount Hardware, your Moen Grab Bar will stay securely in place. No studs or blocking are required because a portion of the hardware is inserted so that it spreads pressure across 3½" behind the wall. If you have only one stud available for mounting the grab bar, secure one side of the grab bar to it and use the Secure Mount Hardware for the other side. (If you have two studs behind the wall to secure a grab bar, you do not need the Secure Mount Hardware.) The mounting piece on the outside of the wall is hidden behind the flange of the grab bar.

Adding the Secure Mount Hardware to your Moen Grab Bar will insure that your grab bar will have the strength to support you when you need it the most.
