The buttons are straight forward and easy to differentiate. Triangular buttons represent the channel up and channel down functions as well as the volume up and volume down. The mute is a square button and the power button is round.

* The TV brand codes that program the remote to the TV are updated only once or twice a year, meaning the remote might not work with the latest model TVs.
* Cannot be used with DVD players, cable or satellite boxes or a digital-to-analog set-top converter box. It only works with television sets.
* Can be used with a cable ready TV, but not with TVs that use a cable or satellite box or a digital-to-analog converter boxes.
* According to the FCC, "If you have one or more televisions that receive free over-the-air television programming (with a roof-top antenna or "rabbit ears" on the TV), the type of TV you own is very important. A digital television (a TV with an internal digital tuner) will allow you to continue to watch free over-the-air programming after February 17, 2009. However, if you have an analog television, you will need a digital-to-analog converter box to continue to watch broadcast television on that set. This converter box will also enable you to see any additional multicast programming that your local stations are offering." For more details please see the FCC's website about the Digital TV Transition.

"I just got the Tek Pal Simple TV remote. My Mom has dementia. Her greatest pleasure is TV. She is still able to live alone (right next door to me) but I was going to her house 7-8 times in an evening to re-set her remote code because she kept pushing the wrong buttons. I had bought her the simplest remote I could find....still too many buttons. She mastered the new remote in about three minutes (much longer than it took me to set it up). I canít thank you enough for offering this product. I havenít gotten a call in four hours and am looking forward to the much less stressful days ahead." C.D., Las Vegas, NV
"The Tek Pal Simple Remote is AMAZING! My 86-year-old mother needed help daily to reprogram her remote and could never find what she wanted to watch on TV. There were just too many numbers and too many buttons! Now she just pushes Channel Up or Down until she comes to something interesting. She is thrilled with it and tells everyone she talks to. It is a GREAT product!" B.E., Blackfoot, ID
"This is the one to get. My mother in law loves it. Large size easy to use." R.B., North Ridgeville, OH
