What is included in "Shipping and Handling"?
This charge includes handling, shipping materials, insurance where applicable and the actual shipping rates from our vendors. Even when a products ships direct from the manufacturer, there is still extensive paperwork and follow-up involved to complete an order.
Our standard rate for Shipping and Handling is called "Ground" and is available for shipping throughout the continental US. We've chosen to structure our Ground shipping rate according to the total of the order rather than weight and size so that you can determine your shipping cost easily. As you can see from the schedule below, we have not made adjustments to our rate schedule since October '04, even though fuel charges and shipping costs have seen significant increases.

Although we ship all orders completed by 2 pm EST on the same business day, we cannot guarantee any delivery schedule. We ship our 'in stock' orders from Connecticut, Monday through Friday (not holidays). Depending on your location, delivery will be between 2 to 10 business days.
In order to continue to keep overall shipping costs down, we may select to ship by UPS or by the US Postal Service. We will send an email confirmation with a tracking number when the order ships.

During the checkout process, if you are shipping an "In Stock" item within the Continental US, you can also select a faster delivery (expedited) method. Prices are calculated based upon anticipated weight and size, but may vary from the anticipated cost. If the cost is more than stated, we will need to contact you for permission to complete the order, which might cause a delay.
Delivery time refers to business days and begins the day after your order ships. If, for example, you ordered something to be shipped by UPS 2 Day Air on Thursday at 3 pm EST, it would ship on Friday and delivery would be scheduled for the following Tuesday.

Items that are 'drop shipped' directly from our suppliers have varying delivery timeframes that are noted on the product page and in your shopping cart. Most cannot be expedited.
Shipping outside the Continental US:
Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, US Military (AE, AP, AA):
Our standard Ground rates are not applicable to these locations. The shipping method drop down choices in the cart indicate the estimated cost to ship.
Canada:
We recommend shipping by Priority International via the United States Postal Service (USPS).
Canada Post charges a $5 brokerage fee (payable when you pay any applicable taxes incurred) for packages shipped by USPS Priority Mail International.
If you choose a faster delivery option, an $8 brokerage fee is assessed for USPS Global Express Mail.
When taxes are charged, Customs sticks a "taxes-owing" form on the box and the box is held by the Post Office as a COD. Recipient pays the tax/handling when the package is retrieved.
UPS Worldwide Expedited has brokerage fees included. (We will do not offer UPS Standard Ground because the brokerage fees are unknown at the time of shipping.)
When you buy something from the United States, you are responsible for ‘importing’ that product into Canada. There are fees to pay for the privilege of importing. Click here for a better understanding of the import fees.
Dynamic Living believes in doing our part to preserve the environment. We pack our products with recycled paper. We will also recycle materials whenever possible (cardboard and peanuts) that we receive from our suppliers.
